Dornier MedTech, headquartered in Munich, Germany, is a medical device company known for its pioneering technologies and revolutionary therapies in urology. Thanks to its deep rooted spirit of entrepreneurship, excellence and innovation, Dornier thrives while developing some of the highest quality urology products on the market today.

As one of the original founders of the Urology Care Foundation (formerly known as the American Foundation for Urologic Diseases), Dornier works closely with physicians, healthcare providers and research groups to ensure their products have the highest level of medical and scientific efficacy.

Given their vast array of clients including hospitals, surgical centers, teaching universities, private and public urology practices, and mobile providers, when it comes to urology, Dornier is leading technology and improving life all across the globe

Challenge

With the challenges of multiple markets, cultures and languages, the company’s marketing had become unwieldy and unfocused. To mark the 35th anniversary, Dornier decided it was time to update and unify the companies global brand image. To begin, we were hired to launch a new product in Madrid, Spain called ARIES, a new medical device focused on correcting Erectile Dysfunction (ED).

Strategy

Knowing our success depended on getting engagement from people across the globe, we started by working with executives in the USA, Germany and Singapore to help us understand the company’s unique history, culture and goals. We then translated it all into building a brand guide and roadmap for reinvigorating the company and launching new products.

Result

Over 3 years, we produced over 100 pieces of print collateral and designed 6 different tradeshow booths on 6 different continents for the new brand and multiple product launches. We also launched a new website in seven languages and promoted through social media, global distributor partners, meetings, microsites and tradeshows. At our first tradeshow in Madrid, Span, leads more than doubled over the previous year, and 75% were from new customers.

More than 13,000 medical experts are expected to attend EAU every year. The congress presents the latest in science and education in various formats to suit the needs of all participants, including challenging state-of-the-art lectures, fascinating HD video surgery sessions and the latest cutting-edge medical devices.
