Situation
Chad Lawrence, CEO of NexTex Innovations and a veteran in the textile industry needed a marketing partner to launch a brand new fabric technology. TurboDry is a unique technology that can be embedded into a variety of fabrics to keep the users’ skin significantly drier than regular wicking materials. The technology is based on the principals of biomimicry – design inspired by nature. It transports moisture in one direction, away from the wearer’s skin to its exterior. The process keeps wearers dry and is more durable. Our challenge was to build everything from the ground up to launch at Outdoor Retailer in Denver, the largest global B2B trade show serving the outdoor industry.
Solution
As a technology play, our Ideal Client Profile became all of the major players in the textile industry (NIKE, UnderArmor, Lululemon, etc). Our Go-To-Market strategy focused on licensing this technology and allows existing products to embed our technology into their existing products. All of our branding and marketing efforts focus on TurboDry as “The next revolution in drying technology.” Once our strategy was set, we went to work. Logo, brand guide, explainer video, booth design and sales materials were created. The focal point at the trade show was a custom built illuminated capillary table which served as the hub to explain the dry wicking technology.
Results
Because of our branding, marketing & PR efforts that showcased this amazing new technology, TurboDry was announced a a finalist for the Outdoor Retailer Innovation Award in 2021. WaddyFletch helped generate multiple leads with global players in the textile industry. Since launching, in 2020, WaddyFletch continues to support marketing efforts for NexTex and TurboDry technology.

We’ve carefully engineered the fabric contact angles to create surface tension with the moisture on your skin as a first step to get sweat quickly started on its journey to the outer side of the fabric.

Once the moisture is in motion, TurboDry relies on capillaries knit into the fabric structure to continue pulling sweat away from your body. This phenomenon, a type of biomimicry, is how plants transport water from their roots to their leaves. It’s natural, physics-based technology that doesn’t rely on added chemicals.
Rapid Moisture Removal
As surface tension and the capillary effect work together to draw sweat away from the body, the moisture moves to the fabric exterior where the droplets spread over a larger space to optimize surface area and quicken the drying process.
Dryness = Comfort
Regular wicking fabrics soak both sides of the fabric equally to allow your sweat to evaporate. TurboDry fabrics are specially knitted to significantly speed up moisture movement from the inside to the outside of the garment. This creates dryness next your skin for instant comfort and enhanced performance.
