Social Media Posting Guidelines

  • Remember to be professional and don’t post anything misleading, fraudulent, obscene, threatening, hateful, defamatory, discriminatory, or illegal.
  • When posting curated content (from others), make sure it’s relevant to your niche and relevant to your audience.
  • When posting images, be sure we have the right to use the images. If you need free images, try https://pixabay.com/.
  • The best time to post on most channels is in the morning Tuesday to Thursday.
  • Speak in first person and keep our brand tone of voice in mind.
  • Respond to comments quickly and honestly.
  • Give credit where credit is due.
  • Be nice and be helpful.
  • Do not post confidential or proprietary content.
  • Use relevant hashtags when possible.

  • If you publish 10 posts per week then:
    • 5 (50%) should be content from others that is relevant to your audience.
    • 3 (30%) should be content from you that is relevant to your audience but not sales focused.
    • 2 (20%) should be personal, fun content that helps humanise your brand.
